Kualoa Beach Park is about a 45 minuet drive from Waikiki and is located towards the end of of Kane'ohe Bay at the address of 49-479 Kamehameha Highway. Kailua and Waimanalo are near one another but Kuoloa is out by the north shore of Oahu. Here is a little Hawaiian Story about this area in regard to the island that looks like a Chainmen's hat the offshore islet, Mokoli`i, is said actually to be a part of a tail dragon-like creature. mythology says the goddess of bright light and Pele's younger sister, was on a voyage to visit a family on the north shore and along the Windward coast she came upon a large the lizard dragon. they mightily fought with the giant lizard and spared its life by only cutting off its tail with spears of lightning.
